Job summary

Parker Aerospace’s Exotic Metals Forming Division in Phoenix, AZ is hiring an NDT Technician 2 to perform non-destructive testing on sheet metal aircraft components. You will interpret inspection results, follow technique sheets and support senior technicians.

Qualified candidates are certified in FPI, radiographic and digital X-ray inspection, with GD&T knowledge and blueprint-reading skills. This on-site role offers comprehensive benefits and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Certified in FPI, Radiographic and Digital X-Ray Inspection.
• Able to read manufacturing planning, engineering blueprints and sketches.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Knowledge of Exotic Metals Forming Division processes and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Process parts and interpret findings per Exotic and customer specs.
• Follow NDT technique sheets and revisions.
• Support NDT Technician 1 and assist with inspection.
• Document inspection findings accurately.
• Create or revise NDT technique sheets.
• Generate x-ray film for parts with simple and complex geometry.
• Identify faulty processes and escalate to NDT Tech or Supervisor.
• Check dimensions with calipers and micrometers.
• Ensure proper documentation in manufacturing planning and timecard system.
• Interpret and follow written instructions and drawings.
• Work safely per established standards.
