Role Description

The NDT Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Godley, TX, supporting quality assurance for fabricated components and systems. Daily responsibilities include performing non-destructive testing on materials and welds using approved methods, documenting results, and reporting any nonconformities to supervisors and quality teams. The technician will interpret test data, support corrosion and defect assessments, and ensure inspections comply with relevant codes, standards, and customer specifications. The role also involves preparing test areas and equipment, maintaining NDT tools, collaborating with production and engineering personnel, and participating in safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Non-destructive testing expertise, including eddy current and ultrasonics, with the ability to select appropriate methods based on material and project requirements.
  • Inspection and quality control skills to evaluate welds, materials, and fabricated components, with a focus on identifying defects and verifying compliance with standards.
  • Knowledge of corrosion mechanisms and degradation in industrial and energy environments, supporting accurate assessment of material condition and remaining life.
  • Experience working in fabrication, oil and gas, or industrial facilities, with strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Relevant NDT certifications (e.g., ASNT Level I/II or equivalent) and familiarity with ASME, API, or related industry codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, and specifications, and to produce clear, accurate inspection reports.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to perform field inspections, including standing, climbing, and working in varying shop and field conditions; high school diploma or equivalent required, technical or vocational training in NDT is preferred.
