Job summary

TEAM, Inc. in Indianapolis is seeking a certified NDT/NDE Technician to perform nondestructive testing at client sites nationwide. You will interpret results, supervise assistants, calibrate equipment, and coordinate with project managers while upholding safety, quality, and data integrity.

The role requires valid NDT Level II certifications, strong communication, and the ability to travel and work in field environments. TWIC/OSHA or similar safety credentials are preferred.

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain TEAM Level II Qualifications/Certifications as per TEAM’s practice and schema.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:-

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a certified and qualified NDT/NDE Technician to perform Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection services at various client sites and locations. The position requires a safety-driven professional who holds certifications in one or more NDT methods, including RT, MT, PT, UT, VT, or other applicable methods.

The NDT/NDE Technician is responsible for delivering accurate inspection results while maintaining high standards of client satisfaction, safety performance, quality, professionalism, and data accuracy. The role also involves supporting field operations, guiding NDT Assistants and support personnel, and working closely with project managers and clients.

Responsibilities:-
  • Perform nondestructive testing using certified methods in accordance with TEAM procedures, client specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Accurately interpret, evaluate, and document test results using appropriate forms, digital systems, or reporting platforms.
  • Supervise and guide NDT Assistants and support personnel during field operations.
  • Calibrate and operate NDT equipment and related tools safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate with project managers and clients regarding job scope, access, and inspection results.
  • Maintain detailed and timely records, including reports, time sheets, and safety documentation.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety practices, where applicable, including the use of dosimetry and area barricading.
  • Adhere to TEAM's Life Critical Expectations and all site-specific safety protocols.
  • Uphold applicable industry codes and TEAM's standards of professionalism, integrity, and quality.
Qualifications:-

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Ability to provide relevant documentation in support of obtaining one or multiple TEAM Level II Qualifications/Certifications in accordance with TEAM's written practice and certification schema.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate results to peers, clients, and supervisors.
  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Multiple NDT Level II certifications or ASNT/PCN/CGSB equivalencies.
  • API 510/570/653, CWI, AMPP, or other advanced certifications.
  • Radiation Safety Training, IRRSP, or State Industrial Radiographer Card, if applicable to RT.
  • Familiarity with digital reporting systems or NDT data software.
  • Prior experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline projects, or fabrication shops.
  • Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.
Requirements:-
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
  • Ability to travel and work extended hours.
  • Ability to work in field environments, including confined spaces, elevated work areas, and extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maneuver in standard, refinery, or plant environments and access elevated platforms using ladders and stairwells when required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Sufficient vision or other powers of observation to perform inspection-related duties.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to perform required duties.
  • Ability to maintain focus and multitask with effective communication skills.
  • Ability to wear required safety equipment for assigned tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to work weekends and alternative work schedules as required.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
  • Ability to tolerate climate changes and work around production machinery with extreme noise levels.
  • Ability to travel out of town periodically as required.
