Responsibilities

  • Assist NDT technicians with UT/MT/PT/RT inspections.
  • Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for testing.
  • Support radiation safety practices and secure work areas.
  • Transport equipment to and from job sites safely.
  • Clean and maintain tools and work areas.
  • Complete field reports and timesheets.
  • Follow safety rules and client/site protocols.
  • Assist with rigging, lifting, and access equipment setup.

Job description

Position Summary:-

TEAM, Inc. is seeking an entry-level NDT Assistant to support certified technicians in delivering nondestructive testing services at various client sites and locations. The position provides an opportunity to develop experience and knowledge in asset integrity and inspection while contributing to the safety, support, and operational excellence of TEAM's inspection and testing operations.

The NDT Assistant works with certified technicians on inspection activities involving methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Radiographic Testing (RT). The role may involve field work across Oil and Gas, Nuclear, Power, Municipality, Aerospace, and other environments.

Responsibilities:-
  • Assist certified NDT technicians with setting up and performing inspections using methods such as UT, MT, PT, and RT in accordance with TEAM and client procedures.
  • Prepare and organize materials, tools, and equipment for testing assignments.
  • Support radiation safety practices and help secure work areas for radiographic testing, where applicable.
  • Transport equipment to and from job sites while maintaining safe handling and inventory control.
  • Clean and maintain tools and work areas.
  • Complete field reports, timesheets, and other documentation as directed.
  • Follow all safety rules, client site protocols, and TEAM's Life Critical Expectations.
  • Perform general labor duties related to rigging, lifting, and access equipment setup.
Qualifications:-

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various environmental conditions.
  • Willingness to travel and work in different industrial environments.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in NDT, construction, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with basic NDT methods and terminology.
  • Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools and equipment.
Requirements:-
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
  • Must be able to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other required site access credentials.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Sufficient personal mobility to maneuver in standard, refinery, or plant environments, including accessing elevated platforms through ladders and stairwells when performing field duties.
  • Ability to work around production machinery and extreme noise levels.
  • Ability to wear required safety equipment for personal protection.
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations when necessary.
  • Ability to maintain focus, multitask, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to tolerate climate changes and work indoors and outdoors in plant environments.
