Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a certified NDT/NDE Technician to perform inspections such as RT, UT, MT, PT, and VT at client sites. You will supervise assistants, ensure accurate reporting, and uphold safety and quality in refinery and industrial environments. Travel and weekends may be required with strong attention to details and communication.

The role emphasizes field execution, documentation control, and adherence to industry codes, company procedures, and Life Critical Expectations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • TEAM Level II qualifications/certifications expected; ASNT/PCN/CGSB accepted.
  • Experience with NDT data software or digital reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform non-destructive testing using certified methods in accordance with TEAM procedures, client specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Accurately interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results.
  • Supervise and guide NDT Assistants and support personnel during field operations.
  • Calibrate and operate NDT equipment and related tools safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate with project managers and clients regarding job scope, site access, and inspection results.
  • Maintain detailed and timely inspection reports, time sheets, and safety documentation.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety practices, where applicable, including dosimetry and area barricading.
  • Adhere to TEAM's Life Critical Expectations and all site-specific safety protocols.
  • Uphold industry codes and TEAM's standards of professionalism, integrity, and quality.

Position Summary:

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a certified and safety-driven NDT/NDE Technician to perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and inspection services at various client sites and locations. The technician will perform inspections using one or more certified NDT methods, including RT, MT, PT, UT, and VT, while ensuring the highest standards of data accuracy, client satisfaction, safety, and quality. The role also involves coordinating field activities, maintaining inspection documentation, and supporting safe and efficient project execution in accordance with company procedures and applicable industry codes.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform non-destructive testing using certified methods in accordance with TEAM procedures, client specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Accurately interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results using appropriate forms, digital systems, or reporting platforms.
  • Supervise and guide NDT Assistants and support personnel during field operations.
  • Calibrate and operate NDT equipment and related tools safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate with project managers and clients regarding job scope, site access, and inspection results.
  • Maintain detailed and timely inspection reports, time sheets, and safety documentation.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Certifications:

  • Ability to obtain one or more TEAM Level II Qualifications/Certifications in accordance with TEAM's written practice and certification schema.
  • Multiple NDT Level II certifications or ASNT, PCN, or CGSB equivalencies are preferred.
  • API 510, API 570, API 653, CWI, AMPP, or other advanced certifications are preferred.
  • Radiation Safety Training, IRRSP, or State Industrial Radiographer Card is preferred where applicable.
  • Current TWIC, OSHA 10/30, or other industry-standard safety certifications are preferred.

Experience & Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with digital reporting systems or NDT data software is preferred.
  • Prior experience working in refineries, petrochemical plants, pipeline projects, or fabrication shops is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a safety-first mindset.
  • Ability to communicate inspection results effectively to peers, clients, and supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check.
  • Ability to obtain TWIC, DISA, and/or other site access credentials.
  • Ability to travel and work extended hours.
  • Ability to work in field environments, including confined spaces, elevated work areas, and extreme weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to maneuver in refinery or plant environments, including accessing elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to maintain focus, multitask, and work safely in noisy industrial environments.
  • Willingness to work weekends, alternative schedules, and travel out of town as required.
