Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is hiring for a certified X-Ray Technician Level II on a swing shift in San Leandro, CA. The role reviews both digital and film X-Ray images to ensure casting integrity before shipment.

You will follow complex technique cards, record results, and ensure equipment calibration while supporting safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has X-Ray Level I certification (Level II preferred), at least one year of manufacturing experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

• X-Ray Level I certification required.
• X-Ray Level II certification highly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) preferred.
• One year of manufacturing experience preferred; casting industry experience a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Math proficiency with and without calculators; basic use of drawings and charts.

Responsibilities

• Review digital and film X-Ray images to ensure part quality before shipping.
• Follow technique cards and plans for completing assignments.
• Record and report results using appropriate systems.
• Ensure equipment is calibrated per specifications.
• Train and guide less skilled employees.
• Interface with engineering and management to propose corrective actions.
• Perform duties with safety as a priority; adhere to all safety rules.
