Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a Quality Control - NDE Inspector to support manufacturing operations in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. This role offers exposure to a new industry and groundbreaking work with emphasis on NDE methods and welding standards.

Responsibilities include detailed inspections, interpretation of results, and maintaining meticulous documentation. Candidates should have 3+ years in NDE, Level II certifications, and the ability to obtain a DoD/DOE clearance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 3+ years of NDE Inspection experience.
• Level II Certifications in Liquid Penetrant or Leak Testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Top Secret or DOE Q Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed NDE inspections using methods such as leak testing and liquid penetrant testing.
• Interpret results and apply acceptance criteria from drawings and work orders.
• Review engineering drawings, specs, and codes to validate product conformity and maintain records.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of weld codes and standards.
• Manage nonconformance documentation and communicate inspection results with engineers and managers.
