Job summary

Concorde Career Colleges in Los Angeles is seeking a Licensure Readiness Nursing Tutor to support students and graduates in mastering nursing concepts and NCLEX preparation. This onsite role reports to the Licensure Readiness Advisor and emphasizes critical thinking, test-taking strategies, and concept application to help students pass the NCLEX on their first attempt.

Qualifications

• Active VN license (required).
• CA RN license active and unencumbered (required).
• Minimum 2 years teaching, tutoring, or coaching in nursing education (preferred).
• Familiarity with NCLEX-PN blueprint and learning tools (required).
• Experience with LMS platforms such as Canvas or Blackboard (preferred).
• Knowledge of remediation tools including Elsevier and PassPoint (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Teach time management and study skills.
• Review test-taking strategies and critical thinking.
• Tutor nursing concepts for assigned courses.
• Develop PowerPoint and instructional materials.
• Conduct two weekly one-hour online tutoring sessions.
• Assist with NCLEX-PN prep using approved resources.
• Maintain communication with LRA and faculty.
• Support at-risk students identified by LRA.
• Navigate Learning Management Systems with students.
• Support remediation plans and green light policies.
• Report attendance and progress to faculty and DON.
