Job summary
Concorde Career Colleges in Los Angeles is seeking an Licensure Readiness Nursing Tutor to support students and graduates in mastering nursing concepts aligned with the NCLEX-PN blueprint. This onsite role emphasizes critical thinking, test-taking strategies, and concept application, with two weekly online tutoring sessions per graduate and collaboration with the Licensure Readiness Advisor.
The position offers a starting pay of $34/hr, a comprehensive benefits package including tuition waiver
Qualifications
- Active VN license and CA RN license required.
- Minimum two years teaching/tutoring in nursing education.
- Familiarity with NCLEX-PN blueprint and learning tools required.
- Experience with LMS platforms such as Canvas or Blackboard preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach time management and study strategies to nursing students.
- Review test-taking strategies and critical thinking skills.
- Tutor nursing concepts for assigned courses.
- Develop PowerPoint and instructional materials.
- Conduct two weekly one-hour online tutoring sessions per graduate.
- Support NCLEX-PN preparation using approved resources.
- Maintain communication with LRA and nursing faculty.
