The Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections – Corrections Services, Division of Probation & Parole – Adult, headquartered in Baton Rouge, seeks staff to provide advanced operational and administrative support for NCIC operations, extradition, and offender location activities. Work requires adherence to NCIC policy and coordination with partners.

Three years of administrative experience or a degree is required; this is a 24-hour facility with potential shift work.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in administrative services; OR
• Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
• A bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Certified Operator of Louisiana State Police NCIC terminal monitored 24/7.
• Answers NCIC inquiries and provides arrest information to districts as needed.
• Reviews requests to flash warrants for extradition and research files in NCIC.
• Enters flashed warrants into NCIC and Lotus Notes databases and notifies districts.
• Removes flashed warrants from NCIC once violators are detained.
• Retrieves FBI and state rap sheets to assess new arrests and dispositions.
• Assists agencies in placing detainers and arranging extradition back to Louisiana.
• Verifies detainer status on out-of-state violators for accuracy.
