Job summary

Htprof is seeking a Project Manager to lead NCDOT roadway, bridge, and utility projects in the Cary/Raleigh area. You will own the project from preconstruction through closeout, including budget, schedule, cost reports, and forecasting, while coordinating with superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors to meet production and safety goals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of PM experience on heavy civil projects with NCDOT exposure, a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager on heavy civil, highway, bridge or utility work for a contractor.
• NCDOT project experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred, or equivalent field experience.
• OSHA 30 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Run NCDOT roadway, bridge and utility projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Own the budget, schedule, cost reports, forecasting and margin on every job you run.
• Submit accurate cost and income projections and act on variances early.
• Lead superintendents, field engineers and subcontractors to hit production, quality and safety.
• Serve as the main contact for NCDOT, owners, engineers, inspectors and vendors.
• Issue subcontracts and purchase orders and manage subcontractor performance.
• Handle change orders, pay estimates, submittals, claims and contract documentation.
• Run weekly project meetings on schedule and cost, and report performance to leadership.
• Work with estimating on bids and the handoff so the job starts right.
• Keep a strong safety culture on every site.
