Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering (ICE) seeks experienced Engineering Technicians/Construction Inspectors for Division 11 opportunities across Boone, NC and nearby areas. Ideal candidates hold NCDOT CEI certifications and CEI experience in transportation projects.

Responsibilities include daily construction observation, material testing, and reporting, with emphasis on safety and quality control. Required are a HS diploma, roadway inspection experience, and proficiency with Microsoft

Qualificações

• HS diploma required; roadway/bridge inspection experience preferred.
• Experience with NCDOT CEI certifications is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily observation of construction activities and document on required reports/forms.
• Review materials for contract and specification compliance.
• Inspect roadways and structures for conformance to plans and specs.
• Evaluate structural materials and placement of culverts and foundations.
• Monitor pilings, reinforcing and structural steel, concrete, and backfill.
• Verify lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations with survey equipment.
• Perform accurate calculations and computations.
• Sample and test construction materials to meet project specs.
• Review contractor submittals for conformance to documents and specs.
• Report non-compliance actions and safety violations to supervisor.
• Record Daily Work Reports with quantities and activity descriptions.
