Job summary

Jhpiego, an international non-profit allied with Johns Hopkins University, is seeking a Data Associate to support timely collection, validation, and reporting of NCD program data. The role involves coordinating data from facilities, ensuring data quality, and aiding in the use of routine information for monitoring performance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with a computer applications diploma and at least two years in public health data handling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; postgraduate diploma in computer applications or equivalent
• Minimum two years of experience handling public health data; INGO/government health program or NCD program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate collection of data from its origin; identify missing/incomplete records and follow up with facilities and staff.
• Compile, sort, verify, and enter data with prescribed formats and validation checks; document errors and share summaries with supervisor.
• Conduct periodic data quality checks on data in MIS and other platforms; maintain records, backups, logs and reports.
• Support configuring data collection formats and maintaining databases and data compilation platforms.
• Support use of digital/software tools in field offices and ensure timely entry of data in Jhpiego systems.
• Prepare and update tables, charts, presentations, and routine reports for projects.
• Assist state-level NCD data compilation and review, including monitoring indicators.
• Compile and update state/district dashboards; flag missing or outlier data and coordinate follow-up.
