Job summary

PrattWhitney in Middletown, CT seeks an experienced manufacturing engineer to support programming projects for machine tools and controls. You will plan, create, develop and implement programs, and own them through production while providing shop support.

Requirements include a BS in engineering, five years in manufacturing engineering (MS with 3+ years considered), and experience with UGNX and Vericut, plus strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Five+ years in manufacturing engineering; advanced degree may substitute.
  • Master's degree or higher with 3+ years related experience considered.
  • Experience with graphic programming, part modeling, and program simulation software (UGNX/Vericut).
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new programming software and tools.
  • Strong technical, communication, and organizational skills; preferable experience with rotating hardware.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Support programming projects utilizing various machine tools, controls, and programming software.
  • Plan, create, develop, and implement programs and associated processes.
  • Own programs through implementation into production and provide necessary shop support through the development and production cycle.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing engineering. Years of experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • Candidates with a Master's degree or higher education, with 3+ years of related experience can also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience with graphic programming, part modeling, and program simulation software, including UGNX and Vericut, and ability to utilize process monitoring software.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new programming software, code, and analytical tools.
  • Strong technical, communication, interpersonal, time‑management, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Preferred: Experience with rotating hardware, airfoils, and continuous improvement projects.
