Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia, surgeons, and OR staff with procedural tasks
• Monitor instruments/equipment per standards; perform cleaning, decontamination and sterilization
• Carry out established procedures and prioritize tasks as directed
• Provide assistance in prioritizing and re-prioritizing as needed
• Alter time schedule to fit department activity
• Judicious use of supplies
• Collaborate to revise instrument sets and supply pull sheets
• Maintain professional environment and promote teamwork
• Collaborate to plan intraoperative care and support patient flow
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and sterility standards
• Verify double-check system for medications/supplies
• Participate in development and implementation of departmental goals and training
