Job summary

Serco is seeking a Navy Production Analyst to oversee conditions at the Pascagoula shipyard, ensuring quality and safety for naval ships. You will inspect processes, review drawings, and support program management across hull, piping, HVAC, and electrical labeling requirements.

Requirements include a DoW Secret clearance eligibility, a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in production or engineering, and strong communication skills. Occasional travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.
• High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in production processes, craft or engineering.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with shipbuilding and naval personnel.
• Knowledge of ship design criteria, standard shipbuilding practices and changing documentation.
• Understanding of ship drawings and specification documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in creating and maintaining spreadsheets for tracking construction and quality.
• Ability to move around ships in an industrial environment and travel up to 10%.
• U.S. DoW Secret clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develops, evaluates, revises, and applies QA protocols to inspect materials, equipment, and finished products.
• Reviews drawings and contract specs to determine initial construction criteria and QA plans.
• Reviews purchase orders and change requests to ensure regulatory criteria are included in plans.
• Performs ship checks for post-delivery work packages to ensure work aligns with plan.
• Provides technical and shipboard support to Program Management for hull/steel, damage control, piping, HVAC and electrical labeling.
• Performs Damage Control Audits to resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Validates shipboard implementation of contract changes on ships.
• Develop ship check summaries of contract changes in the database.
• Conducts shipboard fire, safety, care and protection inspections of production areas.
• Performs compartment completion inspections for various systems to verify work is complete.
• Performs verification of ship construction related trial card corrective actions.
• Provides guidance to less experienced Inspectors.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
