Job summary

OLH Inc. is hiring a Specialized Engineer 3 for a five-year program based in West Mifflin, PA.

The role focuses on evaluating repair technologies for naval systems in lab and subcontractor settings, with opportunities to advance technical skills across complex projects. Qualifications include a BS (or MS) in Welding Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years (or 3 years with MS) of relevant experience; must be US citizen and eligible for security

Qualifications

• Education as stated with required years of experience.
• Experience making technical presentations and leading laboratory operations.
• Ability to plan and execute work programs, design experiments, analyze results, and prepare technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning, follow, and execution of work efforts; conceive and produce technical instructions and procedures; track procurement actions / budget performance; and write technical submittals and recommendations.
• Travel to vendors and shipyards to support project planning, equipment testing and repair deployment.
• Team with other engineers to identify, research, test, and evaluate repair technologies, leveraging welding, machining, and other processes.
• Develop, test, evaluate, and qualify repair procedures in the laboratory and facilitate technology transfer.
