Job summary

GreenXT seeks a Junior Level Project Controller to support Navy customers in financial management, contracting, and budget planning. You will work with Program Managers to keep projects within budget and ensure timely deliverables.

Ideal candidates have an entry-level background in finance or contracting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to obtain security clearance. This role emphasizes teamwork and precise reporting to government partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or high school diploma with related experience.
• Ability to obtain DOD Security Level clearance or equivalent.
• Entry-level experience in a finance/contracting role is acceptable.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop project schedules and budgets based on contract funded and ceiling values.
• Oversee and identify plan deviations; recommend and execute corrective actions for project compliance.
• Work closely and maintain open communication with government customers, Program Managers, Accounting department, and Team Leads regarding tasking, travel, funding, and projections.
• Carefully monitor and manage funding for personnel to ensure required tasking can be completed.
• Gather, track, and create deliverable reports of financial information for contracts.
• Perform routine contract work using prescribed and standardized methods.
• Oversee timesheet records for employees and ensure they are compliant with company guidelines.
• Coordinate with subcontract companies, issue Purchase Orders based on assigned tasking, and verify that contractual requirements are fulfilled.
• Review travel estimates and expense reports, compare trip objective with project scopes of work, and request necessary government authorizations for trips.
• Meet with government customers monthly to review actual data and forecasts.
• Create technical reports and review official contract documents
