Delphinus Engineering LLC seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support design and analysis of mechanical systems for U.S. Navy shipboard and waterfront applications. You will develop detailed 3D models using Inventor or AutoCAD and collaborate within a Vault-managed environment to ensure data integrity.

Responsibilities include ship checks, field verification, and coordinating HM&E tasks with interdisciplinary teams to ensure design intent is carried through to installation and sustainment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
• Proficient with AutoCAD or 3D modeling software, such as Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Must qualify for or currently hold a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 20%.

Responsabilités

• Perform shipchecks and waterfront field verification, prepare system specifications, and develop design drawings for the new installation and modification of HM&E systems and components aboard ship and at waterfront facilities.
• Read, interpret, and troubleshoot HM&E systems using Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs), including structural/arrangement drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform calculations such as fluid flow, stress analysis, shock and vibration, tipping/sliding analysis, weight and center of gravity.
• Revise and prepare HM&E logistics documentation, including Technical Manuals and Maintenance Requirements Cards (MRCs).
• Select materials and specify components suitable for shipboard and waterfront service conditions and develop Bills of Material (BOMs).
• Apply Navy and industry standards and specifications (e.g., NAVSEA Standard Items, General Specifications for Ships, MIL-STDs, ASME).
• Prepare red-line markups and incorporate as-built and field changes into design drawings and installation documentation.
