Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles (fluids, thermodynamics, heat transfer).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, specifications, technical reports, and equipment documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical findings in writing and verbally.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to travel periodically to the Philadelphia area.

Responsibilities

• Engineering analysis and preliminary design support for shipboard systems.
• Evaluate designs, concepts, and alternatives.
• Analyze mechanical and fluid systems; determine requirements and interfaces.
• Develop and review technical documentation and drawings.
• Review vendor docs for technical accuracy.
• Support reliability engineering activities as directed by Lead Engineer.
