Job summary

Redwood Strategy Group seeks a Financial Analyst II to provide execution-level financial management support to COMNAVSURFPAC. You will perform budget and accounting tasks within Navy ERP systems, validating obligations and reconciling transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with DoD regulations.

The role requires 4+ years in federal financial management and 3+ years in Navy financial operations, with a Secret or higher clearance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of federal financial management experience.
• Minimum 3 years in Navy financial management or related operations.
• Experience performing obligation validation and reconciliation in Navy systems.
• Secret or above clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform budget and accounting support within Navy ERP (N-ERP) and feeder systems.
• Conduct monthly obligation validation and reconciliation to ensure accuracy of commitments and expenditures.
• Review unresolved or abnormal financial transactions with stakeholders.
• Process and track funding documents and purchase requests within N-ERP.
• Utilize Navy financial systems (DTS, SYNCADA, CMP) to support reconciliation and reporting.
• Collect, consolidate, and monitor obligation data for month-end reporting.
• Assist in audit readiness and DoD FMR 7000.14-R compliance.
• Provide user assistance for financial system transactions and reporting.
• Prepare documentation for internal reviews and audit sustainment activities.
