Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks a Financial Analyst to support Navy budgeting and financial management activities at Naval Support Facility, Arlington, VA. The role requires knowledge of Navy ERP, and the ability to prepare and defend OMN budget submissions with rigorous data accuracy.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of financial analysis experience, DoD clearance (Secret or higher), and strong Excel skills to monitor obligations and expenses across programs and cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, business, law, engineering, social sciences, physical/applied science or related management fields.
• 5-10 years experience in financial management/financial analysis, with Navy ERP experience.
• DoD SECRET or higher clearance.
• Proficiency with MS Office, emphasis on Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prepare OMN Annual Budget, Mid-Year Review and POM/Program Review documents.
• Monitor budgetary controls using ERP, CARIS, PBIS and spreadsheets.
• Validate Line of Accounting (LOA), Contract, CLIN, ACRN on DFAS payments and adjust ERP expenditures.
• Research incorrect transactions and ensure timely submissions within budget cycles.
