Job summary

StratasCorp is seeking a Watch Operator to provide 24x7 operational support for Navy fleet communications and network services. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain a range of legacy and current systems, ensuring secure, timely processing of naval messages.

The role requires Security+ or DoD-equivalent certification, IAT Level II, and an active Secret clearance. You will supervise junior staff and coordinate with MNOC for mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Security+ or equivalent DoD-approved certification.
• IAT Level II certification in accordance with DoD requirements.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience supporting enterprise computer networks, communications systems, or IT service environments.
• Experience troubleshooting network, email, user-access, and communications-related issues.
• Experience providing technical support to end users via phone, email, and remote administration.
• Experience in a 24x7 operational environment, including shift work, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous 24x7x365 watch support for Navy fleet communications and network services worldwide.
• Monitor and maintain naval message traffic, email, and other communications through legacy and enterprise systems.
• Perform quality control of incoming/outgoing naval messages for accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain DMDS, C2OIX, and related messaging systems.
• Supervise configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational support activities.
• Troubleshoot and maintain Lotus Notes R5 environments.
• Monitor Exchange server queues and email delivery performance.
• Support NIPRNET and SIPRNET operations and assist with network issues.
• Respond to fleet trouble calls involving Outlook, email, web, and connectivity issues.
• Provide technical assistance via telephone, email, and remote tools.
• Troubleshoot Active Directory account issues and LDAP/directory services.
• Document and close work orders in Remedy.
• Monitor network performance with SolarWinds and other tools.
• Supervise NGW satellite transport services for ~100 ships.
• Guide junior personnel and ensure adherence to procedures.
