Would you like to help build a stronger Arizona for children and families? Would you like to make a direct impact, right in your own community? We have a great opportunity for you to join our team as a Navigator in Maricopa County! As a Navigator with Arizona's Children Association, you will have the opportunity to assist young adults in transitioning from foster care to independent, sustainable living. This includes connecting them to resources, supporting informal support networks, and developing life skills.

This role supports youth in and around Maricopa County. Driving is required, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Pay range: $19.00 - $23.25 per hour. This is an hourly, non-exempt position.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain contact with young adults, collateral persons, and agencies to help develop life skills and achieve goals.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop goals and service plans using a trauma-informed approach.
  • Monitor progress and provide resources as needed.
  • Participate in training and meetings.
  • Provide individual support focusing on life skills, including tutoring, transportation, and activities.
  • Develop and facilitate training workshops on topics like self-esteem, goal setting, and safety.
  • Assist in developing contracts with the Department of Child Safety if applicable.
  • Help young adults access scholarships and grants.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete reports.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of related experience.
  • Experience in child welfare or behavioral health with youth involved in systems of care.
  • Relevant degrees include Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Child Development, or related fields with additional coursework if applicable.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years old.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license and insurable.
  • Own transportation to clients' homes and agencies.
  • Ability to obtain DPS fingerprint clearance.
  • Meet training and compliance requirements, able to perform essential functions safely with or without accommodations.
