Qualifications

Company Overview

Youth Villages has been a national leader in implementing research-based treatment philosophies in children's mental and behavioral health for over 35 years. Our mission is to help troubled children and their families find success through a comprehensive range of programs and services.

Program Overview

Our Foster Care program supports children by discussing their referral issues and reasons for foster care. Specialists act as advocates and liaisons between the child and the court, using intensive in-home treatment focused on family, school, community, and peer group interventions.

Position Overview

  • Provide services to the entire family, not just the youth, building trust and aligning them with treatment.
  • Manage a caseload of 8-10 families.
  • Deliver flexible, intensive services in homes, schools, courts, etc., with an on-call rotation.
  • Complete online documentation accessible from home.
  • Meet with supervisors at least three times weekly for progress and development discussions.

Additional Information

Leadership is available for support in difficult situations. All specialists undergo thorough clinical training. The schedule is flexible and based on client availability. Applicants need a valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Salary

$52,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on education and licensure.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a social services discipline is preferred; Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Relevant fields include social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy. Other degrees require evaluation.
  • Experience counseling adolescents in clinical settings is required.
  • Experience with the foster care system is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple priorities, basic computer skills, and schedule flexibility are essential.
  • Must own a vehicle, have liability insurance, and a valid driver’s license.
