Overview
Responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy to youth and their families, as needed. In certain cases, based on the special needs of the children served, the position may be gender-specific.

Responsibilities
- Provide consultation, instruction, and direction to other staff, clients, and referral agencies.
- Interview clients to assess functioning, develop initial needs, and create individual treatment plans. Develop treatment recommendations.
- Assist in developing treatment plans that meet clients' needs and complement services provided by other team members.
- For school programs, participate in developing treatment goals, objectives, interventions, and approaches related to the IEP.
- Utilize trauma-informed clinical modalities and evidence-based practices for all client and family therapeutic interventions.
- Provide direct clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy.
- Complete documentation of ongoing treatment and progress by deadlines set by regulatory agencies, state requirements, or company policy.
- Assist in developing discharge and aftercare plans.
- For foster care programs, may conduct home studies for prospective foster families.
- Participate in in-service training of Direct Care Staff.
- Provide crisis intervention.
- Review client files quarterly to assess service plan implementation, progress, and future needs.
- May provide after-hours “On-Call” coverage on a rotating basis.
- Attend all team conferences and meetings as a treatment team member.
- Perform all duties within contract, state, and federal regulations, company policy, and standards.
- May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable, and complete vehicle training.
Qualifications
The Therapist must possess a master’s degree in a human services field and be licensed to provide therapy in the state. Experience working with children and families is preferred.
