Overview

Responsible for providing individual, group, and family therapy to youth and their families as needed. In certain cases, based on the special needs of the children served, the position may be gender specific.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation, instruction, and direction to other staff, clients, and referral agencies.
• Interview clients to assess functioning and develop initial needs and treatment plans.
• Assist in developing treatment plans that meet client needs and complement services by other team members.
• Participate in developing treatment goals, objectives, and interventions, especially related to IEP for school programs.
• Utilize trauma-informed clinical modalities and evidence-based practices for therapeutic interventions.
• Provide direct clinical services, including individual, group, and family therapy.
• Complete documentation of treatment progress and discharge plans timely.
• Assist in discharge and aftercare planning.
• Conduct home studies for foster care programs if required.
• Participate in staff training and provide crisis intervention.
• Review client files quarterly to monitor progress and plan future services.
• May provide after-hours on-call services on a rotating basis.
• Attend team meetings and perform duties per regulations and policies.
• Drive vehicles as needed, ensuring insurability and training completion.

Qualifications

The candidate must possess a master’s degree in a human services field and be licensed to provide therapy in the state. Experience working with children and families is preferred.
