Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks a Navigation Warfare Engineer to join the Navwar Department in Albuquerque. You will conduct R&D on navigation systems, develop algorithms, and validate hardware prototypes for future PNT solutions. Collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams will drive concepts to flight-test readiness.

The role requires hands-on testing, field exercises, and the ability to obtain a DOE Q-level clearance. Travel to field sites is expected as part of mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with research and development capability.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, test, and analyze results from hardware prototype navigation systems, including GNSS, Inertial sensor, and RF options.
• Develop novel positioning sensors, navigation solutions, and anomaly detection algorithms.
• Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and technologists to mature navigation technologies from concept to flight tests.
• Transition PNT technologies from Modeling/Simulation to hardware prototype for flight test experimentation.
• Perform testing in complex contested navigation warfare environments in the field and analyze results.
