Job summary

JSL Technologies, Inc. is seeking a GWS Lifecycle Engineering and Sustainment Specialist in Port Hueneme, CA to deliver engineering, logistics, testing, and fleet support for the Gun Weapon System program across lifecycle activities.

The role involves participating in Test & Evaluation, developing test procedures, reviewing changes, and conducting obsolescence mitigations, with on-site and on-board support as needed.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States with no sponsorship needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.
• Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Computer Engineering.
• Ability to support equipment testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and fleet support.
• Ability to travel for onboard technical assistance.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Support Test and Evaluation activities and validate maintenance docs and reports.
• Develop and execute test procedures at test labs and on naval vessels.
• Review engineering changes and ship alterations for design improvements.
• Research obsolescence and mitigation strategies for components.
• Create and update installation drawings, manuals, and maintenance docs.
• Generate project reports and document test results.
• Provide fleet troubleshooting and technical assistance from office or onboard.
• Coordinate equipment movement and inspect received material from vendors.
• Support project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and meetings.
• Gain knowledge of MK 34 and MK 48 Gun Weapon Systems through on-the-job training.
