Job summary

Serco seeks a seasoned Project Manager for its Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation (NASO) to oversee engineering and technical services supporting U.S. Navy surface ships.

The role is based in Yokosuka, Japan and requires coordinating with Ship's Force on HM&E and propulsion systems, corrosion control, and maintenance planning. The successful candidate will lead large teams, drive inspections and repairs, and ensure compliance with naval manuals and TYCOM programs while maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with seven years’ experience in related engineering management field, or Associates degree with fourteen (14) years’ experience.
• Five years’ supervisory experience in technical maintenance or design for surface ships.
• Three years involved with aircraft carrier/surface ship maintenance, design, operation, and problems of propulsion and electrical systems.
• Two years direct experience with naval propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, and damage control systems.
• Two years supervisory experience.
• Current DoD security clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams providing technical guidance on HM&E and aviation equipment interfacing with combat support systems and related hull systems.
• Oversee inspections, examinations, and repairs and recommend maintenance planning actions for naval propulsion and auxiliaries.
• Liaise with ship’s reactor department prior to inspections, testing, and production work.
• Manage teams performing fault identification and physical repairs of propulsion, auxiliary, and aviation equipment.
• Provide technical support and advice to Ship's Force for operation, overhaul, and repair of specified items.
• Oversee CCAMM-based maintenance planning and TYCOM CIP training, inspection, and reporting.
