Job summary

VTG is seeking a highly experienced Production Lead to support the delivery and sustainment of the AN/BYG-1 submarine combat control system. The role oversees end-to-end production lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, configuration-controlled software meeting mission-critical requirements, with coordination across engineering, integration, and test teams.

The position is based between Manassas, VA and Washington, DC, requiring deep expertise in defense software, baselining, and systems engineering.

Qualifications

• 15+ years delivering production-level software in defense/aerospace/naval settings.
• Deep systems engineering: requirements, design, integration, validation.
• Experience with baseline/configuration management tools like CMPro or ClearCase.
• DoD software development standards, MIL-STD, and Agile/Iterative practices.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning and delivery of software builds for AN/BYG-1.
• Manage baseline, configuration control, and version releases.
• Drive systems engineering processes and traceability.
• Coordinate lifecycle from initial production to sustainment.
