Job summary

HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a qualified Construction Supervisor to coordinate and oversee the AOR construction process on 2nd shift. You will define scope, manage schedule and deliverables, and liaise with trades to control costs while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires 3+ years in construction supervision or equivalent experience, and the ability to resolve issues impacting critical path work. Telework is not available; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Construction Supervisor experience OR 2 years CS1 experience with 2 years planning/production control experience OR High School + 6 years production supervisor experience OR BS/Apprentice + 4 years exempt related experience OR 3 years Military E-6 and above

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the construction process for AOR including defining project scope and deliverables.
• Manage project expectations to ensure quality and safety standards and schedule adherence.
• Identify and resolve design, material, grouping, scheduling, manpower, or cost issues.
• Liaise with trades’ management to control cost performance and overtime requirements.
• Perform inspections and document discrepancies; assess safety risks and implement mitigations.
