Job summary

Austal USA is seeking a Project Coordinator to provide direction in support of planning and production of vessel modules. The role involves guiding multiple craft disciplines, engineering, planning and quality personnel, with interaction with customer personnel and regulatory representatives.

The ideal candidate brings cross-functional experience in shipbuilding or similar environments, with strong communication and scheduling skills, and a willingness to work onboard and extended hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in shipbuilding or related construction environments.
• Ability to read and interpret shipbuilding contracts, specifications, and drawings.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and scheduling software (Primavera or MS Project).
• Ability to work onboard vessels up to 100% and willingness for extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct functional project leads to meet milestones.
• Monitor safety, housekeeping and staff performance.
• Conduct craft meetings and resolve production sequence conflicts.
• Ensure EVMS reporting accuracy and contract compliance.
• Maintain daily communication with Project Manager and perform variance analysis.
