Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license and provide own hand tools.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with basic hand tools.
• Ability to work in a shipyard environment, including aboard U.S. Navy ships.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and follow safety protocols.
• Ability to obtain base access credentials within 60 days of hire and maintain them.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship

Responsibilities

• Perform entry level technical trade duties supporting repairs, installations, and maintenance.
• Assist with work performed from blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals.
• Use basic hand tools to complete a range of tasks that vary based on project, customer requirements, and technical needs.
• Perform semi skilled and unskilled labor relating to mechanical and electrical systems.
• Support work outside standard duties, as needed, to complete installations or assigned tasks.
• Work closely with senior trades personnel and shipboard teams to support safe, effective operations.
