Job summary

Serco is seeking skilled professionals to support the CTII program in Newport News, VA, with shipboard or shipyard experience and a DoD Secret clearance. You will fabricate and assemble electromechanical components onsite, five days a week, and travel up to 10% as needed.

The role emphasizes safety, certification readiness, and working with the customer and Serco team to deliver high-technology solutions. OSHA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Shipboard or Shipyard experience or a related field.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
• The ability to obtain gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS)
• The ability to work onsite 5 days a week.
• The ability to obtain any required certifications.
• Experience in one of: Engineering Technician 2-10 yrs; Mechanical Assembler 2-10 yrs; Welder 5-10 yrs
• Have attention to safety (critical)
• Candidate must travel up to 10% to various work sites.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble various electromechanical and electronic assemblies while applying strict safety practices.
• Work closely with the customer and Serco team to deliver high-technology on the CTII program.
• Support shipboard or shipyard projects and ensure compliance with DoD requirements.
