Job summary

Delphinus seeks a detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our engineering team and support the design, modification, and installation of electrical systems aboard naval platforms and in defense programs. You will develop and maintain electrical drawings, SIDs, and related documentation for shipboard applications, translating input into precise, compliant designs.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical design/drafting, proficiency with AutoCAD (Electrical a plus), and ability to read

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical design/drafting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Detail-oriented with strong documentation discipline.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ship checks and field verification for HM&E alterations.
• Create and revise Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) per NAVSEA standards.
• Develop electrical design products from engineering input and drawings.
• Perform cable routing, schedules, and interference checks.
• Coordinate with engineers and customers to resolve design issues.
• Maintain drawing config control and revision history.
