Delphinus is seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join our engineering team in Norfolk, VA. You will design, modify, and install shipboard electrical systems for naval platforms and defense programs.

Responsibilities include creating SIDs, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and ensuring NAVSEA and MIL-STD compliance; collaborate with engineers and shipyards; travel 20–40%. Requires 5+ years in electrical design/drafting, AutoCAD proficiency, ability to read drawings, and U.S.

Competenze

• Minimum 5 years in electrical design/drafting, Navy shipboard experience preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, specifications, and references.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Willingness to travel 20-40% as required.

Mansioni

• Conduct detailed shipchecks and field verification on U.S. Navy ships.
• Identify, locate, interpret as-built drawings and existing documentation.
• Create and revise Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs) including diagrams and schematics per NAVSEA standards.
• Develop electrical design products from multiple inputs (engineering, field data, vendor docs).
• Perform cable routing, cable schedules, and interference checks for installation design.
• Support electrical load analysis, equipment layout, and bills of material.
• Ensure drawings meet ISO 9001 QMS and NAVSEA/military/industry standards; coordinate with teams.
