Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience supporting DoD, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or complex technical systems.
  • Experience developing engineering drawings, mechanical assemblies, and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with CAD platforms including NX, Creo, Solid Edge, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with GD&T and interpreting engineering specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain mechanical designs, drawings, and technical data packages for AN/SLQ-32(V)7 hardware.
  • Create and revise Installation Control Drawings (ICDs) and shipboard installation packages.
  • Generate and validate 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering documentation.
  • Review mechanical designs for manufacturability, maintainability, and compliance with requirements.
  • Support Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) and configuration management activities.
  • Coordinate with electrical, systems, logistics, manufacturing, and government personnel across the design lifecycle.
  • Assist with shipboard integration, modernization efforts, and product improvements.
