Job summary

Tri Star Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the U.S. Navy’s SEWIP program at NSWC Crane. You will design, document, install, and sustain shipboard electronic warfare systems, developing data packages and ICDs while ensuring compliance with Navy standards.

The role requires strong CAD skills, experience with 3D models, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team across fleet modernization initiatives. Security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering experience in DoD/aerospace/defense or complex systems.
  • Experience developing drawings, assemblies and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain mechanical designs, drawings and TD packages for AN/SLQ-32(V)7 hardware.
  • Create and revise ICDs, assembly, detail, and shipboard installation drawings.
  • Generate and validate 3D CAD models and engineering documentation.
  • Review designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with requirements.
  • Support ECPs, TDP updates, and configuration management.
