Serco Inc. invites applications for an Engineer role based out of Arlington, VA, working with the Navy’s Amphibious Warfare program.

The role focuses on program and technical support across the acquisition lifecycle, including documentation, testing, and fleet-facing engineering tasks. Successful candidates will manage technical manuals, design reports, and craft changes while collaborating with government and contractor teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (Post-Employment)
• U.S. Citizenship required
• ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Ability to operate in shipyards/naval facilities and industrial field environments
• Willingness to travel ~10% to shipyards/naval facilities

Responsibilities

• Provide basic program management support including scheduling, tracking metrics, and cost estimating.
• Coordinate meetings, discussions, and action-item tracking with the customer.
• Track workload and flag priority issues for customer attention.
• Keep team planning tools up to date.
• Perform engineering work including analysis, design, development, evaluation, testing, and operations.
• Support documentation for baselines, defect resolution, and modifications.
• Provide design management and engineering support for emergent issues.
• Offer waterfront inspection and repair oversight for testing and fleet units.
• Draft reports documenting requirements, trade-offs, and craft changes.
• Collaborate with government and contractor staff to brief leadership and implement changes.
• Perform data analysis and present findings.
• Review test plans and reports.
• Research, design, develop, test, or oversee manufacturing and installation of equipment and systems.
• Conduct configuration management to maintain integrity of work products.
