Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a systems engineer to support SPY-6 radar engineering for the U.S. Navy. The role emphasizes requirements development, verification, and system integration across the lifecycle, with occasional travel to support testing. An active Secret Clearance is required, and the candidate must be a U.S.

citizen. Minimum 4+ years in systems engineering with experience in radar or defense systems is preferred. BS/BA in a STEM field and ABET accreditation are required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in systems engineering activities including requirements development, specification management, systems integration, and design verification.
• Ability to develop, analyze, and maintain system requirements, interface documentation, and engineering baselines with traceability.
• Experience with radar systems, sensor technologies, Navy combat systems, or other complex defense systems is preferred.
• Experience using engineering models and simulations to assess performance and support decisions.
• Experience planning, coordinating, or executing system testing, analyzing performance data, and supporting lab or integration testing.
• Familiarity with MBSE tools, processes, and methodologies used to support system design and integration.
• Ability to collaborate with government engineers and multidisciplinary teams to support system integration and program execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute systems engineering plans.
• Create and maintain system requirements, specifications, and interface documentation.
• Support system architecture, requirements decomposition, and hardware/software allocation.
• Perform modeling, simulation, and system performance analysis.
• Participate in system integration, verification, and testing activities.
• Develop test plans and analyze system performance using MATLAB and laboratory tools.
