Job summary

Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. in Norfolk, VA is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support our Engineering department and Fleet Services Group.

The successful candidate will manage projects, coordinate installations, repairs and modernization initiatives aboard ships. Candidates should have an ABET-accredited engineering degree, about five years of design, installation, testing or repair of HM&E ship systems, and the ability to read NAVSEA specs.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Approximately five years of design, installation, testing and/or repair of ship systems.
• Ability to read ship installation drawings and NAVSEA standards.
• May require SECRET clearance and access to Navy bases.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control activities at job sites, offices, or aboard vessels.
• Ensure projects progress on schedule and meet contract specs.
• Reference NAVSEA standards and installation documents.
• Plan and coordinate with senior management and project leads.
• Interface with clients regarding tasking and project status.
