Job summary

Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer in San Diego, CA to support our Engineering department and Fleet Services Group. You will manage projects, oversee installations and repairs, and drive modernization onboard ships.

The role requires five years of naval ship systems experience, ability to read installation drawings, and a SECRET clearance. Travel up to 75% may be required; ABET‑accredited engineering degree is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.
• Five years of design, installation, testing and/or repair of ships and ship systems.
• Direct HM&E experience on surface ships and submarines.
• Ability to read ship installation drawings and NAVSEA items.
• Ability to obtain SECRET clearance and access to Navy bases.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and controls activities at job sites, on ships, and offshore environments.
• Ensure projects progress per schedule and meet contract specifications.
• Reference NAVSEA standards, 9090-310 specs, and related NAVSEA items.
• Collaborate with Senior Management, Program Managers, and leads on alterations.
• Interface with clients regarding tasking and project scope.
• Perform duties as assigned by management.
