Job summary

Continental Tide Defense Systems, Inc. is seeking a Marine Electrician I in Norfolk, VA to support ship repair, modernization, and Alteration Installation Team projects aboard Navy and commercial vessels.

You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain complex electrical systems in a maritime setting, leveraging experience with power distribution, lighting, and control systems. The ideal candidate has some shipboard electrical experience, strong reading of schematics, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• High school or trade/technical training is required.
• Able to read, interpret, and understand schematics/blueprints.
• Familiar with NAVSEA standards and basic electrical repair procedures.
• Must have or be able to obtain SECRET clearance and DBIDS access.
• Must be able to pass audiogram, respirator fit test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, install, modify, terminate, test and maintain electrical/electronic systems.
• Follow repair procedures and production instructions.
• Assist with system grooms, checkouts, and minor repairs.
• Assist with equipment installation per technical specs.
• Read electrical schematics and use tools to troubleshoot.
• Perform operational tests and validate configurations.
• Construct or fabricate parts and cableways as required.
• Support production and project completion as needed.
