Job summary

Synchron, LLC invites applications for a Mid-Level Operations Manager to provide administrative and executive support to DPAE Maritime M & S, the U.S. Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment.

You will lead branch operations, coordinate policies, and guide staff to meet objectives. Based at the Washington Navy Yard in DC, this role requires 5 years of Navy office experience, proficiency in Word/Excel/PowerPoint/SharePoint, and eligibility for a DoD SECRET clearance.

Qualifications

• 5 years of professional experience providing administrative and executive support to U.S. Navy program offices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Eligibility to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate branch or department operation strategies and assist with developing and implementing organizational policies and procedures, as well as attaining operating goals.
• Ensure work is being completed in a timely manner by assigning or delegating work, objectives, and activities to supervisors and staff, organizing resources, giving work direction, setting deadlines, and coordinating with other departments.
• Ensure adequate training of staff and employee compliance with the organization's policies and practices.
• Analyze costs and prepare department budgets.
