Job summary

Synchron, LLC is seeking a Mid-Level Operations Manager to provide administrative and executive support to DPAE Maritime M & S, the U.S. Navy's program office for Surface Ship Modernization and Sustainment, based at the Washington Navy Yard in DC.

In this role you will coordinate operation strategies, assign tasks, ensure deadlines, train staff, and help develop budgets. Strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years of admin support to Navy program offices.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Eligibility to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate branch or department operation strategies and assist with developing and implementing organizational policies and procedures, as well as attaining operating goals.
• Ensure work is being completed in a timely manner by assigning or delegating work, objectives, and activities to supervisors and staff, organizing resources, giving work direction, setting deadlines, and coordinating with other departments.
• Ensure adequate training of staff and employee compliance with the organization’s policies and practices.
• Analyze costs and prepare department budgets.

Education and Experience Requirements

• 5 years of professional providing administrative and executive support to U.S. Navy program offices
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
• Eligibility to obtain a DOD SECRET security clearance
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
• Strong verbal and written interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Preferred Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field
• >7 years of professional experience related to database management.
