Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense seeks a Sr. Program Manager to lead complex naval programs from inception to close, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

You will liaise with senior executives, manage key customer relationships, and drive program performance using IMS, EAC, and robust risk management. Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in defense/aerospace programs, strong leadership, and deep knowledge of FAR/DFAR contracting, with PMP

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading complex technical programs in design/manufacturing/defense/aerospace.
• Direct experience in design/build or complex manufacturing required.
• PMP certification strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior leaders.
• Strong knowledge of government contracting (FAR/DFAR).
• Experience managing major subcontractors and suppliers globally.
• Excellent financial acumen for reporting and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integrated program team with accountability for schedule, cost, technical execution and profitability.
• Manage senior-level customer relationships and negotiations for satisfaction.
• Develop and execute IMS and program budget; set milestones and critical path.
• Identify and mitigate program risks; pursue opportunities to improve performance.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier governance to meet technical, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Own program financials including EAC reporting and health presentations to leadership.
