Job summary

Fairbanks Morse Defense invites a Sr. Program Manager to lead complex, multi-functional programs in a defense/aerospace context. You will guide the integrated program team, manage contractual obligations under FAR/DFAR, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery for naval power systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related technical field preferred; Business Management degree also considered.
8+ years leading complex technical programs in design, manufacturing, or defense/aerospace.
Experience in design/build or complex manufacturing environments required.
Strong command of government contracting, FAR/DFAR Regulations.

Responsibilities

Lead integrated program team and own program performance (schedule, cost, technical execution, profitability).
Manage senior-level customer relationships and negotiations for total satisfaction.
Develop and execute Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and program budget; set milestones and critical path.
Identify and mitigate program risks; pursue opportunities to improve performance and profitability.
Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.
Oversee major subcontractors and suppliers to meet technical, schedule, and quality requirements.
Own program financials, including EAC reporting and health presentations to executives.
Mentor junior program managers and drive process improvements.
