Job summary

Mission Technologies is seeking a Marine Welder to support the Platform Modernization Ventilation Team on active class surface ships. You will perform welding and installations, read blueprints, and work to QA standards in a dynamic shipyard environment.

Requirements include HS/Trade school, 4 years welding experience, ability to obtain DoD clearance, and willingness to travel 25–50% as needed. Per Diem and travel coverage apply.

Qualifications

• High School or trade school or equivalent required.
• 4 years related welding experience preferred.
• Ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Must read and follow welding symbols and drawings.
• Willingness to travel 25–50% as required.

Responsibilities

• Support welding and structural modifications on naval vessels.
• Work from blueprints, sketches, charts, or work orders.
• Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify ventilation elements and equipment.
• Lay out and mark points on parts using measuring tools.
• Weld with SMAW and GTAW processes in multiple positions.
• Inspect finished work for conformance to specs and QA procedures.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced tradespersons.
• Travel to shipyards or bases as required.
