United Support Services, Inc. is seeking a System Support Specialist to deliver Information Technology support aboard U.S. Navy vessels and at related facilities in the Hampton Roads, VA area.

The role requires after-hours on-call support and strong problem-solving skills. Candidates should have an Associate’s Degree in a related field, MSS/MCSA or higher certifications, and hands-on experience with Windows workstations, AD, SMS, and networking.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• MCSE/MCSA certification.
• Certifications: Microsoft MTA, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+.

Responsibilities

• Represents the IT team when interacting with customers and workforce.
• Provides support for IT products and services; answers questions and troubleshoots.
• Determines effective methods to resolve personnel technical issues.
• Engages in research and in-depth troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Resolves issues independently; may escalate complex problems.
• Provides after-hours support on a rotational basis.
• Supports PCs, servers, LANs/WANs, and web pages; uses tools as needed.
